HR Internship in Pakistan: A Guide for Fresh Graduates

Most HR job adverts in Pakistan ask for one to two years of experience. For a fresh graduate, an HR internship is the fastest way to get that first line on your CV. Here is what the work looks like and how to get in.

What does an HR intern do?

An HR intern supports the team with the everyday work that keeps people and paperwork in order. The tasks are simple on their own, but together they teach you how a company actually runs.

  • Writing and posting job adverts
  • Screening CVs and scheduling interviews
  • Preparing offer letters and onboarding checklists
  • Updating employee records, attendance and leave
  • Answering basic staff queries

Skills that matter more than your degree

Employers hiring HR freshers look for clear written English, comfort with Excel or Google Sheets, attention to detail and the ability to keep information confidential. A BBA or HRM degree helps, but graduates from any field can move into HR if they show these skills.

How to get an HR internship with no experience

  • Build a one-page CV that lists projects and coursework, not just your degree
  • Make your LinkedIn headline say what you want: 'Aspiring HR Professional'
  • Learn the basics of hiring and onboarding before you apply
  • Apply to a structured internship where your tasks are reviewed, so you learn faster

Remote or onsite?

Remote HR internships let you join from any city and fit the work around your studies. What matters is that someone reviews your work and gives feedback. An internship where you only watch will not teach you much.
